Whole Body Listening is just like it sounds, listening with your WHOLE body.

This is a great phrase to teach your child to help improve their listening skills. One of the biggest challenges for children in a classroom is listening, paying attention, and following directions. Cue: WHOLE BODY LISTENING. Helping your child understand how to listen and what it looks like seems like common sense, but not for a 5 year old! Start talking about it with them now to help them be a better listener for their Kindergarten teacher.

Here are the areas to focus on:

BRAIN = thinking

EYES = looking

EARS = listening

MOUTH = quiet

HANDS = to myself

FEET = calm

Teaching your child to listen with their whole body will not only help you at home, but help them at school as well!

Your child's future teacher will thank you, I promise :)
